11 p.m.: Ike Washes Ashore Over Eastern Cuba

Hurricane Ike has washed ashore over the eastern coast of Cuba. The storm has forced a hurricane watch for the Keys, watches and warnings for the Bahamas, Cuba, and the Cayman Islands. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal is keeping a wary eye on Ike as the latest forecasts send it eventually into the Gulf of Mexico in the general direction of New Orleans.
